At 590 State Route 14, Penn Yan, NY, Black Squirrel Farms collects and processes the black walnuts that grow on our land as well as those from other local growers in partnership with others working in this space. We are the only 20-C licensed facility processing black walnuts in NYS and we are turning a native New York nut from a wasted resource into healthy food and useful household products. We operate an onsite farm stand and an onsite Airbnb. We’re one of a handful of groups leading the development and implementation of small-scale black walnut processing capability nationally, making it possible to process black walnuts close to where the the trees are growing.
